From Rocca Santa Maria, following the SP48, we arrive at Teramo, <\/strong> a city of great historical and cultural beauty. Civitella is known for its magnificent fortress, the last bastion of the Bourbons and one of the largest strongholds in Europe. Inside we will be able to visit all the rooms that once housed the soldiers, the prisons, the basements, the ovens and many other rooms. In the Fortress we also find the Historical Museum of Weapons and Ancient Maps which houses war instruments and artifacts of great historical importance. After the visit to the Fortress it is worth taking a walk through the streets of Civitella where we find the “ruetta”, which is the narrowest street in Italy, the Fontana degli Amanti dating back to 1863 and the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli which inside it houses a wonderful wooden statue of the Dead Christ. <\/p>\nBlog of the Wood<\/h2>\n
