Here we will be able to admire the remains of a beautiful Roman theater, the amphitheater and some thermal baths of Roman villas. The best known is the Domus del Leone, so called because it houses the famous Mosaic of the Lion. The Monica Castle which stands up in its grandeur. Walking through its streets rich in history, one is fascinated by the beautiful churches and architectural monuments that characterize this place. One of the best known and most important monuments of Campli is undoubtedly the Holy Stairs, an element of great artistic and religious value and one of the most interesting places of worship in Abruzzo. Also worth visiting are the beautiful Cathedral of Santa Maria in Platea built at the end of the 15th century, and the Necropolis of Campovalano, where traces of civilizations dating back to the Bronze Age have been found! <\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row module_class=&#8221;flip&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.9.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.9.1&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.9.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p> From Campli we move to <strong> Civitella del Tronto <\/strong>, another wonderful village that is part of the Comunit\u00e0 Montana della Laga and one of the &#8220;most beautiful villages in Italy&#8221;. <br \/> Civitella is known for its magnificent fortress, the last bastion of the Bourbons and one of the largest strongholds in Europe. Inside we will be able to visit all the rooms that once housed the soldiers, the prisons, the basements, the ovens and many other rooms. In the Fortress we also find the Historical Museum of Weapons and Ancient Maps which houses war instruments and artifacts of great historical importance.
